Welcome to the Social Care and Health section
As a Council, we have a responsibility to support, care and protect people in the community. In the County we have people with a wide range of health and social care needs. These range from elderly people leaving hospital to families in crisis, addicts trying to kick the habit, abandoned children and young offenders.
The Council promotes the well-being of children in need and looked-after children and enables people to make choices and live independently.
One of our community priorities is to improve health and social care within the County. We work with service users and the community to protect vulnerable people and, in partnership with the Local Health Board, deliver services to adults and children to address physical disability and mental health needs across the County.
