School Admissions 2009/10

Choosing the right school for your child is a very important decision.  The Schools' Information Guide (attached) provides you with information regarding admission to schools in Denbighshire.  The guide also contains useful information about school transport and general information relating to schools.  (In the guide the term parents refers to parents, guardians or carers).


Admissions  2009/10
Denbighshire County Council is the admissions authority for all community and voluntary controlled schools.  Admission to voluntary aided schools are the responsibility of the Governors of those schools, and parents should contact the school direct for further information. 


In Denbighshire there are infant (ages 4-7), junior (7-11), primary (4-11) and secondary (11-18) schools.  In addition, Denbighshire has two special schools providing education for 3-18 year olds.

All preferences received by the closing date are considered before late applications.  If your application is received after the closing date, it will be considered a late application and your child may not be offered a place at your preferred school, as the school may be full.
