Delegated Decisions
Denbighshire County Council's Constitution states “the Cabinet shall delegate at least some executive functions to each Cabinet member, consistent with that Member’s portfolio”. All 10 Cabinet Members have been delegated functions consistent with their individual portfolios. A delegated decision is exactly like a normal cabinet decision except that the decision is taken by a Cabinet Member and not by the whole Cabinet.
Cabinet Members are advised on decisions by officers. Where an individual Cabinet Member takes a decision under his or her delegated powers, a record of the decision and a copy of the advice (unless it contains exempt or confidential information) from officers are published on this website.
