Please contact the Register Office to check where to send your applications.
Please include as many details as you can, index references you have found do not usually apply to locally held records but can still help in identifying a register entry. Marriage records can particularly difficult to trace with so many venues, so please include any known addresses at the time and further details.
Register offices do not have the resources to undertake long searches of an indefinite nature. Usually a search in the indexes covering a period of 5 years will be made. If a wider search is required the applicant apply to make a general search in the indexes, for a fee of £18.00 for up to six hours.
