Here you will find information on public transport in Denbighshire. This includes buses, free and half-fare concessions, community transport and links to other travel providers (e.g. Dial a Ride and Night Rider).
Information on the award winning 'Clwydian Ranger' leisure bus operating for walkers and visitors is available from July to September. It operates on Sundays and public holidays over the summer.
Free Travel for Elderly & Disabled People
People over 60 and some disabled people may now travel free on buses in Denbighshire and beyond. The pass is valid for all qualifying local bus services in Wales and for journeys from North Wales into England and back, provided your journey starts and finishes in North Wales.

Cheaper Travel for Young People
If you live in Denbighshire and are aged between 16-18, the likelihood is you qualify for half-price bus travel on all bus services in, to and from North East Wales. Details here (external link to http://www.16218.org )
If you are aged between 19 and 22, you can claim a pass that gives about 25 per cent discount on any Arriva bus service operating in, to or from North East Wales. Details here (external link to http://www.19-22.org )

Community Transport Solutions - Rural Car Schemes
For people who live in rural areas who have little public transport, or for people who may find it difficult to use the bus, there are eight rural car schemes for people in rural areas, covering Clawddnewydd, Corwen, Denbigh, Llanaron-yn-Iâl, Llandegla, Corwen, Llangollen and Ruthin. Nightrider
Currently available to anyone over 50 in Rhyl, Prestatyn, Dyserth and St Asaph, this new venture operates on Thursday and Friday evenings

Dial-a-Ride
If you live in the north of Denbighshire and find it difficult through disability to use the bus service, you may be eligible to join Dial-a-Ride. Dial-a-Ride also operates on some days as far south as Denbigh.
There is a membership fee but holders of Cerdyn Cymru free bus passes for disabled people travel free of charge.

Yellow Bus
This distinctive, modern, high capacity 68 seater single deck coach provides a facility for schools, colleges and not-for-profit organisations. DCC were the first Welsh authority to operate a modern large capacity bus especially designed for the transport of children.
It is available for hire during evenings, weekends and school holidays, and also between school runs on schooldays. It’s ideal for educational visits for swimming bath journeys, field trips, and theatre trips. The bus is fully fitted with lap & diagonal seat belts, is built to a high standard of strength and includes many safety features plus a passenger surveillance system. It is painted yellow to make it conspicuous to other road users. All drivers are employed by Denbighshire County Council and have undergone a police vetting process.
