The idea behind ‘Customer Care’ is to deliver more of your services at the first point of contact. Research shows that the majority of our customers prefer to telephone us. So no more being passed around from pillar to post as you try to find the right person to speak to – instead, a highly trained Customer Service Adviser will take your call and answer your query there and then.

Increasingly, we are being contacted via our website - we are expecting over 650,000 people to use it this year. You can already pay bills online and get lots of information about the County and the services on offer.  It might not be your cup of tea to log on in the middle of the night but for some it will provide added convenience.

And for those of you who like to come to the council offices or telephone, we will be here for you. We have a network of One Stop Shops and Cash Offices throughout the County where Council staff are on hand to greet you and help with whatever you need from us.
