DENBIGHSHIRE NIGHT RIDER
This is an award winning low cost door to door, wheelchair accessible evening transport service for older people, piloted and funded by Denbighshire County Council, in conjunction with the Older People's Strategy.
Denbighshire Night Rider is available for older people who are unable to use public transport, have a fear of crime, a physical or sensory impairment of any kind, or may feel vulnerable or isolated. The vehicle is fully wheelchair accessible and carers can accompany users if needed.
This is a not for profit scheme, so charges a minimum, just £2.00 per return journey.
This service can be used for community hospital visiting, evening and leisure courses, theatre or town hall shows/events, visits to friends/family, social events, etc.
The scheme runs every Thursday and Friday evening from 6:00pm until 10:00pm in the North of Denbighshire (Prestatyn, Rhuddlan, Bodelwyddan, Dyserth, Rhyl, Meliden and St Asaph).
