- We currently have an ongoing volunteer project to help us with the delicate but essential work of cleaning some of our collections. Training, advice and equipment will be provided, and you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you are contributing to the continued preservation of the county’s archival heritage. Volunteer sessions are held every second and forth Monday of the month. - In March 2011 we launched our Blog. The Blog will be a place where the public can learn about how the Archive Service works behind the scenes, including the discovery and collection of new records and how we clean, catalogue and preserve archives for the future. We intend the blog to be an online exhibition area, and most importantly it will highlight the fantastic collections held by the county’s Archive Service.
