Our leave year runs from 1 April to 31 March.  The basic leave entitlement for a full time member of staff is 20 days.  In addition to this the Council also award 3 extra days, called extra statutory days.  In appropriate circumstances, the Council can determine when these are taken.  These holidays  are in addition to Public Holidays.

The basic entitlement is increased, when you have 5 years continuous service, by 5 days and thereafter by 1 day when 10 years, 15 years and 20 years are reached, making the maximum entitlement 31 days.
