Behaviour Support Service

The Behaviour Support Service provides support, interventions and provision for pupils with Social, Emotional and Behavioural difficulties.

It aims to do this by:

  • Providing peripatetic in-school support by experienced behaviour management staff, with the aim of helping referred pupils to maintain their place in mainstream education
  • Providing short and long-term educational placements, in designated centres, for pupils for whom mainstream education is deemed inappropriate
  • Arranging full-time educational provision in college for Year 11 pupils who would work more effectively in a Further Education setting
  • Providing Home Tuition for pupils whose medical condition prevents attendance at school

The Behaviour Support Service also delivers a range of training packages around the issues of behaviour management and discipline.
