Community Strategy

The original Community Strategy for Denbighshire was prepared in 2004 by Denbighshire County Council in joint partnership with the public, private, voluntary and community sectors, and other agencies that operate in Denbighshire. The strategy represented the agreed key future priorities for Denbighshire to be pursued in partnership at that time.

There are four key partnership strategies that feed directly to the Community Strategy. These strategies are:

Healthy Denbighshire Strategy

The new Healthy Denbighshire strategy outlines plans which will help to improve the health and wellbeing of the people of Denbighshire.

Children and Young People's Single Plan

The Children and Young People’s Single Plan (2008-2011) is the plan for all services for children and young people aged 0-25 and their families.

Community Safety Strategy

Denbighshire has established a Community Safety Section to ensure that the authority’s commitment to community safety remains focused, and adapts to meet changes around the delivery of community safety priorities, both nationally and locally.

Local Development Plan

The LDP provides guidelines as to what can be built and where throughout the County over a 15 year period. Each Council in Wales is required to produce a Local Development Plan (LDP) for its area.
