The purpose of the Freedom of Information Act is to ensure open and transparent management of public bodies.

The Act gives a general right of access to all types of information held by any public authority. As a result any individual or organisation can request information, by letter or e-mail, held by Denbighshire County Council.

For its part Denbighshire County Council must respond to the request and supply the information to you within 20 working days. However, there are occasions when exemptions apply and we will not be able to supply you with the information you want.
