Denbighshire's Improvement Plan
Guided by the Vision for Denbighshire in 2025, Denbighshire County Council aims to deliver continuously improving services which meet the needs of local people.
Our Improvement Plan 2008 - 11 outlines how we performed last year, the actions we will be taking over the next three years and the targets we have set for improving services and delivering the Vision.
The summary of the Improvment Plan was first published in County Voice in October further details of the Council's Priorities and past perfromance have been added in the web summary available below.
We welcome your feedback on the Improvement Plan. If you have any comments or would like to request the Improvement Plan in an alternative format such as Braille, large type and on audio tape please contact the Strategic Policy Unit.
For the coming years we have selected a new set of priorities.
Our focus on Modernising Education will continue. Our work on roads will be developed to cover Roads and Flood Defences. Two new priorities will look at Responding to Demographic Change including the impact of longer lifespan and an aging population and at Regenerating Our Communities through six new Local Community Planning Areas.
We hope you find this Improvement Plan to be of interest and we look forward to receiving any feedback you have on it or on any of the services we provide.
Please note that due to a copying error some of the indicator arrows in Appendix A were coloured incorrectly in the first published version of the Improvement Plan 2008-11. This fault has now been rectified 12 November 2008.
