Denbighshire County Council, along with many other public sector & voluntary agencies have agreed a vision to regenerate Rhyl.
By 2015 Rhyl will seek to become an enjoyable place to live and work - a town supporting a balanced, permanent, stable and self assured community within a prosperous and sustainable local economy.

WHAT'S HAPPENING NOW?
£5.8 million of finance resource to refurbish & enhance the west promenade, to bring the Foryd Harbour back to life and to regenerate semi derelict property in Edward Henry Street.
The Townscape Initiative will regenerate some of Rhyl’s older buildings such as The George, Dixie Deans, and 17 Bedford Street.
The Welsh Assembly Government has supported the redevelopment of 71-75 West Parade, Dudley Arms, and the former Marina Hotel on East Parade. Private sector finances within Rhyl’s retail sector to build a Wilkinsons & Peacocks store.
Further E.U. funding of £1.8 million for the Cefndy Economic Dynamo Project. £0.7 million Digital Village Hall for Women, £400,000 FFORCE Community Enterprise project and many more, including the Denbighshire Key Fund for community led projects like the Rhyl Shopmobility project.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The County Council is keen to engage with all sections of Rhyl Community to inform everyone of progress and to investigate further projects to keep the momentum that has clearly started to take Rhyl Forward.
The Rhyl Business Community has recently come together and formed the Rhyl Business Group.
All this consultation with local people needs to be filtered into new projects to take Rhyl Forward.
