In certain circumstances pupils may be considered for a boarding grant dependent upon the type of educational establishment and nature of course they wish to attend.  If the specific course or a comparable one is available in Denbighshire or a neighbouring Authority then consideration would not be given to providing boarding grant support.  However if the course is not available locally Grants may be awarded to pupils who are normally resident within Denbighshire. The support is restricted to a maximum of £1500 per academic year and would be subject to means testing against the parents or guardians income.  Parents or guardians must complete an application form giving details of the school and course and their income details.
