The Management Team of Catering Services recognises that our most important resource is our staff.

In 2001 we were successfully accredited with the prestigious Investors in People Award following stringent external assessment.

Catering staff and managers were questioned as to how they felt they fitted into the Environmental Services Organisation. They were also asked questions relating to the service they provided, training opportunities, staff/management relationships, future needs of the service, etc.

To demonstrate our commitment to providing our staff with quality training we have developed a partnership with the Commercial Services Department of Deeside College. All catering staff have the opportunity to undertake proper, structured training by means of a NVQ.

All staff members have been interviewed by the College staff and training schedules drawn up. All new recruits will also be offered training.
