There are seven High Schools and one Special High School within Denbighshire. These are:
- Prestatyn High, Prestatyn
- Rhyl High, Rhyl
- Blessed Edward Jones, Rhyl
- Ysgol Glan Clwyd, St Asaph (Welsh) Denbigh High, Denbigh
- Ysgol Brynhyfryd, Ruthin
- Ysgol Dinas Bran, Llangollen
- Ysgol Tir Morfa, Rhyl (Special)
All our High Schools operate on a 'cafeteria' style menu, which allows pupils of High School age a greater choice of items to select for lunch. We are dedicated to promoting healthy eating to all pupils and have introduced salad bars into all secondary schools and also offer a wide selection of freshly prepared sandwiches, pitta breads, pizza, jacket potatoes and various pasta dishes.
Additionally, we have introduced 'Cashless Catering' into six of the High Schools. This has significantly added to the efficiency of our service and eliminated the stigma associated with free school meals, as all transactions are confidential.
We strive to provide a modern, value for money service, which caters for all pupils. We are open for breakfast in the majority of secondary schools, as many of the children leave home early to catch buses and may not have the time to breakfast at home.
