What is the Local Land and Property Gazetteer?

The Local Land and Property Gazetteer (LLPG) is a central database that provides the definitive identification of all land and property within the County and holds the information in a national standard called BS7666. This standard dictates exactly how the data is held.

Many other departments within the Authority such as Planning, Council Tax, Non Domestic Rates and Electoral Registration use the data. The database is also linked to the National Land and Property Gazetteer (NLPG), a national address database for England and Wales that drives applications and services at a regional and national level.

The database enables address changes to be made once and shared across all other departments ensuring consistent use of the information.
