If you have a homelessness problem, the Council can give you advice on what options you have, either over the phone or better still (it is easier to deal with any paperwork) in person at one of our drop in sessions.  The sooner you make contact, the more options you will have.  This is a crucial first step as it may be possible to prevent your homelessness entirely.

At a Housing Options interview your situation will be assessed; you will be given advice or asked to have further contact with the Homelessness Prevention Officer (see under Homelessness Prevention), or possibly make an appointment to make a formal homelessness application, if that is appropriate.
