Homelessness
Homelessness is the most extreme form of housing need.
It can affect anyone: families, childless couples and single people. Homelessness is not just a housing problem – it also impacts on health, educational development and employment opportunities.
Under Part VII of the Housing Act 1996 (as amended by the Homelessness Act 2002) Denbighshire County Council has certain responsibilities towards anyone who is either homeless or threatened with homelessness. This may mean advice or providing temporary accommodation depending on individual circumstances.
