The Tenancy Agreement is a legal contract between someone who rents their home (the tenant) and the organisation or person they rent from (the landlord). In your case the landlord is the Council.

When you sign a tenancy agreement with the Council you are asked to agree to the Conditions of Tenancy.

It is important that you know and understand what you are agreeing to.

If you are unsure - please ask a Housing Officer to explain anything you do not understand.
