Local history
Denbighshire libraries have a wide range of local history resources reflecting the county’s rich historical experience, the largest collections housed at Rhyl and Ruthin, with gazeteers, maps, old newspapers, pamphlets and periodicals, local directories and writings by local authors.
Music scores
The library’s large collection of printed music - vocal scores, musicals, oratorios, sacred cantatas, operas, songs, instrumental solos and miniature scores are available for loan, whether you are learning an instrument, a member of an orchestra or choir, an established performer, or pursuing a lifelong interest. All single items are available free of charge to individuals, though a hire charge applies to choirs and orchestras for the loan of multiple copies. The Welsh Music collection of over 3,000 items is an important source of research material, which includes sheet music, hymn books, choral collections and books on music history,
