Denbighshire Library Service also holds the largest North Wales collection outside Bangor University of Welsh language fiction, poetry, plays, writings on Welsh literature, periodicals, biographical information, and literary criticisms, an invaluable source of materials to readers, students and researchers.

Welsh Bible Collection
This, the largest public-access collection outside the National Library of Wales, contains over 400 copies of various editions of the Bible in Welsh from the mid-17th century to the early 21st century, and includes rare items such as William Salesbury’s New Testament and Williams Morgan’s 1588 translation of the whole Bible. The collection is kept under appropriate environmental conditions at the Denbighshire Record Office in Ruthin Gaol, and is available for use for research purposes by students, historians and researchers.
