Over 5,000 households in Denbighshire have the chance to become greener with an extension to the county’s x2 recycling scheme.
The scheme is being extended to other parts of Rhyl, Prestatyn, St Asaph and Bodelwyddan. This means that approximately 19,000 homes, or almost half of Denbighshire’s households, can take part in the scheme.
Those households being introduced to the new service will receive an information pack and the necessary bins over the coming weeks.
A full list of the streets being added to the scheme can be found in October’s edition of County Voice, Denbighshire’s residents newsletter.
Councillor Eryl Williams, Cabinet Lead Member for Environment, said: “This is yet another important step in the campaign to make Denbighshire a cleaner, greener county, by offering residents the chance to recycle goods and to reduce the amount of refuse being sent to landfill.
“The extension of the x2 service means that some residents will find that their refuse or recycling collection day may change. The Council tries to keep these changes to a minimum and any households affected will be notified individually.
