School/Student Councils are statutory requirements, and therefore, every school in the country has one.

Student Councils are in place to give all the young people in a school a voice, and ultimately, to have a say in the running of the school.

Denbighshire’s Young Person Officers will be working with Student Councils to ensure this need is met. Minutes from Student Council Meetings will be uploaded to this webpage so other schools can view what topics are being discussed in other schools. Hopefully, members of student councils may be able to offer their colleagues in other schools solutions to their problems.
