10/30/2007 - Draft Action Plan agreed for submission

Denbighshire County Council is currently putting the finishing touches to its Draft Action Plan which outlines how it will address criticisms highlighted in a recent Estyn inspection report into three of the authority’s education services.

Today (Tuesday), Ian Miller, Denbighshire’s Chief Executive approved the Draft Action Plan for submission to the Welsh Assembly Government and Estyn by the November 5th deadline, subject to any final improvements and amendments being made.

The final version of the Action Plan will be submitted to Estyn by 27th December, 2008.  Actions arising from the Plan itself will start to be implemented immediately, in accordance with the timescales contained within the report.

Extensive consultation has been carried out with schools, governors, councillors, staff and external partners and will continue throughout the process.
