Community safety is a high priority for this service and much work is done in partnership with North Wales Fire and Rescue Service and North Wales Police.

• No Cold Calling Zones  

‘Cold calling’, is the term used for when a salesperson visits your home to sell goods or services without receiving an invitation or request from you to do so.  These salespeople often use persuasive techniques to convince you to buy from them.  They may fool you into believing your property needs urgent repair work carried out when this is not true.  Some people who have agreed to such works have been left with the work not finished even though they have paid in full and for others, the work carried out has made a situation much worse or left the property in a dangerous condition.

Working closely with North Wales Police and Conwy and Denbighshire Community Safety Group, Denbighshire Trading Standards are trialing zones where cold calling is prohibited.
