Welcome to our index. The databases, comprising over 140,000 entries, will give you an indication of documents available for consultation at the Denbighshire Record Office at Ruthin, North Wales.

It is hoped that the indexes, under place, subject and personal names, will assist archive users to find documents of relevance to them. They do not show images of the documents themselves and it should not be assumed that the indexes cover all sources in the Record Office though: the indexes are compiled from catalogues, not the original documents, so there will be names and places in the originals which will not be found on the indexes.

Archive users should also be aware that not all the records held by the Record Office are open for public use, due to data protection and conservation. Please contact the record office for further advice at archives@denbighshire.gov.uk or on 01824 708250.
