Carnivals and Street Parties

Authorisation is required from the Highway Authority (Denbighshire County Council) for all carnivals, street parties, cycling races, sporting events or any other organised event which takes place on the public highway.

If a temporary road closure or any other road traffic order is required sufficient notice is required to enable the order to be processed and any diversion routes planned.  See separate page for details of road closure requirements.

There is a basic  fee for this plus any additional costs involved in publicizing the closure, notifying the emergency services plus other significant road users such as bus operators, together with all signing and coning deemed necessary by the Highway Authority are rechargeable.
