This ceremony is for any couple who may wish to celebrate renewing their Marriage vows/Civil partnership promises in a unique and personal ceremony.  Often, these ceremonies are planned for a special anniversary, such as tenth, twenty- fifth, fortieth etc., but are however, not restricted to these dates.

A Renewal of Vows Ceremony may also be appropriate when couples wish to renew their commitment to each other after a period of difficulty or illness.  Also, many couples who marry abroad choose to celebrate with family and friends with this type of ceremony.

The Ceremony can be held at one of our Register Offices or Approved Premises and can include readings, music, and re-dedication of rings - the Registrar will be happy to help and advise you.  You will be given a souvenir certificate.  The ceremony has no legal status.
