Pupils from Ysgol Pant Pastynog prepare to unveil their mosaic masterpiece.

Youngsters at the school have been busy designing and creating their work of art with the help of mosaic artist, Tricia Jones of Llandrillo, and the finished piece is now newly installed on an outside wall in the school grounds.

At 6.30pm on May 15, the school and visitors will get ready to see the grand unveiling of the finished article.

The children built the mosaic using pieces of recycled crockery and tiles and the theme was based on the life and activities associated with the school.

On a practical level, the children also learned about the art of mosaic making, how to cut and shape the tiles and how to fix them to the wire mesh ready for Tricia to cement them to the wall.
