Give feedback on this pageMembers of a young brass band from the Vale of Clwyd will improve their musical skills at a workshop being hosted by members of Tubalate, a professional brass quartet.
The Seren Fach/ Little Stars band is led by John and Heather Powell and organised by Gwasanaeth Ysgolion William Mathias, with support from the Denbighshire Arts in Schools service. Members of the band are pupils from schools in the Ruthin area.
Also taking part in the event at Ysgol Brynhyfryd, Ruthin on Saturday, May 17 will be the Merchant Taylor's School brass band from Crosby, Liverpool. This event gives over 150 youngsters from both bands a unique opportunity to work with proffessional musicians.
A special concert with all players will be held at the end of the day at 5pm until 6.15pm at Theatr John Ambrose, Ruthin. Entry to the concert will be £1.00 for adults and 50 pence for school pupils. For more information, please call 01824 709662.
