Denbighshire County Council has congratulated Councillor Sharon Frobisher (Prestatyn South West) on her election as Vice Chair of the North Wales Fire and Rescue Authority for 2008/09.

Chair of the County Council, Councillor Ray Bartley, said "On behalf of all members of the Council, I am delighted to offer congratulations to Councillor Frobisher on her appointment to the Fire and Rescue Authority.  It is welcome to see Sharon's contribution to the authority's work since 2004 recognised in this way."

Councillor Frobisher has been a county councillor since 2004 and was appointed to Denbighshire's Cabinet last month, where she holds the portfolio of lead member for Communities.
