Staff at Ysgol Penmorfa, Prestatyn, will be ending the Summer term on a high after being awarded Investors in People Award (IIP) and Investors in People Leadership and Management Standard.
In a report from the IIP assessor, Penmorfa was described as a school with strong leadership and support, which is provided by the headteacher, David Edwards, and members of the senior management team.
The report states that the school encourages the development of leadership and management skills throughout by providing widespread opportunities for staff, offering development and constructive feedback on performance, which builds staff confidence and skills.
Other points raised in the report show that Penmorfa offers its staff varied forms of learning and development opportunities and provides them with an excellent team-working culture that is evident within the school, where staff are willing and enthusiastic to take on new responsibilities and are active in working collectively to drive school improvement forward.
The school was described as a vibrant, confident inclusive school community that values all pupils who attend it and which encourages all staff to contribute to its success.
Mr Edwards said: “We are delighted to have received the IIP Leadership and Management Assessment, which highlights the combined efforts of all our staff to make this school a happy and inclusive place to work and learn.”
