Denbighshire County Council has appointed a Head of Policy and Performance for the Lifelong Learning Directorate.

Jackie Walley has been acting Head of Policy and Performance since the end of 2007 and her permanent appointment was officially confirmed following an interview panel this morning (Wednesday).

Previously, Jackie was Principal Benefits Manager for the Council.

Leader of Denbighshire, Councillor Hugh Evans, who is also the Cabinet Lead Member for Education, said: "We are delighted to make Jackie's appointment permanent.

“Jackie has been a great asset to the Policy and Performance team and she has the skills and expertise of working in the Council to make an extremely valuable contribution to the modernising education programme in Denbighshire. 

“We wish her all the best in the role and look forward to working with Jackie and the team towards the vision of providing all children and young people with a first class education. “
