In conjunction with National Archaeology Week, Denbighshire Countryside Services at Loggerheads Country Park are holding a weekend devoted to living history, with historical reenactment group Samhain.
On the weekend of Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th July from 10am, the Welsh Medieval Society will be ready to transport you back to the past as they bring to life both the turbulent and the typical times of the Middle Ages and the uprising of Owain Glyndŵr in 1400.
Michael Roberts ‘Pen Teulu’ of Samhain said, “Over the weekend come and visit this living history encampment and follow the sights, smells and sounds of the camp, complete with cooking, crafts and combat.”
Visitors will experience hands-on history and sample authentic life and times of medieval Wales in the early 15th Century, including longbow archery, long-knife and spear weapon demonstrations.
The event has been organised by the Denbighshire Countryside Services. For further information please phone Loggerheads Country Park on 01352 810614.
