Denbighshire County Council services will be disrupted on Wednesday and Thursday, July 16 and 17, due to a national strike called by UNISON and T+G Unite.
All residents on the x2 scheme in the south of the county (Ruthin and Denbigh) should put their refuse and recycling out as normal on Wednesday and Thursday as that collection is as normal.
Residents who use the pink refuse bags in the south of the county who are due to have their refuse collected on Wednesday or Thursday should not put their bags out this week as their refuse will not be collected until the corresponding day next week. Double collections will be arranged on those days. Recycling boxes can be put out as normal.
Refuse and recycling collections in the north of the county (St Asaph, Bodelwyddan, Prestatyn, Rhyl, Dyserth, Rhuddlan and surrounding areas) will continue as normal.
Refuse will be collected from properties throughout the county as normal on Friday.
Denbighshire County Council would like to thank residents for their co-operation.
Plans are in place to ensure that essential services are delivered, but a number of buildings, including some schools, will be closed.
Members of the public are respectfully asked not to contact the Council on the two days unless it is an emergency. The emergency number for office hours is 01824 706100 (Welsh) or 706101 (English).
