Ever wanted to find out more about archaeology? Now here’s your chance with a line up of events to mark National Archaeology Week.
· Saturday 12 July - Art in Archaeology day at Ruthin Gaol. 11am-4pm
· Wednesday 16 July - Medieval Bodger and Weaver at Mold Museum. There will be a medieval bodger and weaver, demonstrating traditional skills and tools in woodworking and weaving. 11am-3pm
· Friday 18 July - Wrexham Museum, Roman invasion! Roman soldiers will be demonstrating their weapons and equipment. 11am-3pm.
· Saturday 19 July - Ruthin Gaol, Living History event, there will be a display of ancient costumes and dress, including Norman and Viking warriors,demonstrating their weapons and armour. 11am-3pm.
· Saturday 19 July - Rhyl museum, What is Archaeology? 10.30am-12.30pm. There is also the chance for people to meet the Community Archaeologist, Sarah Pevely, who will be on hand to answer any questions about archaeology and help people learn a bit more about what archaeologists do.
