The Early Entitlement Group has been developed from the Early Years & Childcare Development Partnership. It’s aims are to develop support and services for children aged 0 to 10 years. They meet about 6 times a year and feed directly into CYPSP on issues impacting upon children and their families, in Denbighshire.
The Early Entitlement Group have developed a strategy and action plan that will cover a range of issues concerning young children, parents and families, including pre school childcare, early years education, out of school hours care and providing information on all these aspects to parents, carers and families. The Group also have responsibility for ensuring The Flying Start initiative is delivered in the specified wards of West & South West Rhyl and Upper Denbigh, the development of the Children’s Information Service and overseeing the development of the Childcare Sufficiency Audit by the Childcare Development Officer. The group also receives updates on the development of the Integrated Children’s Centres (Oak Tree in Rhyl and the Margaret Morris Centre in Upper Denbigh).
