Children and Young People's Strategic Partnership

The Partnership meets 4 times per year with a varied agenda.  The Partnership is made up of senior executives and managers of key organisations that are able to make decisions on developing services and support for children & young people. 

Our current membership is:

  • Chair:  Lead Director Children & Young People, Denbighshire CC
  • Vice Chair: Lead Executive, Denbighshire Local Health Board
  • Chair Extending Entitlement (Corporate Director Lifelong Learning, Denbighshire CC)
  • Chair of Early Entitlement  
  • Head of Child and Adolescent Nursing, North Wales NHS Trust 
  • Executive Officer National Public Health Service
  • Leader of the Council, Lead Member for Education, Denbighshire County Council
  • Lead Member for Children & Young People, Denbighshire County Council
  • Executive Officer, Denbighshire Voluntary Service Council and two supporting
  • Voluntary Organisation Representatives (Early Entitlement & Extending Entitlement)
  • Chief Officer, Menter Iaith
  • Head of Children and Family Services, Denbighshire County Council
  • Head of School Improvement, and Partnership & Inclusion (DCC)
  • North Wales Probationary Service
  • North Wales Fire Service
  • Superintendent, NW Police
  • Strategic Manager, Youth Justice Board
  • Careers Wales (North East & North West)
  • Council In Wales Youth Voluntary Services
  • Chair of Local Safeguarding Children Board
  • Chair Communities First Partnership Board (SW Rhyl)

The CYPSP is responsible for making sure we deliver our Children & Young People’s Plan. They make strategic decisions that can create change and break down barriers to achieving our goal of “Making a positive difference to the lives of Children & Young People in Denbighshire”
