Open Doors Denbighshire is part of Wales’ biggest celebration of architecture and heritage. Come and take a closer look through the open doors of the historic towns of Denbigh, Llangollen and Ruthin.
Each weekend provides a perfect centrepiece around which to plan a short break in Denbighshire. These completely free events give you a taste of the heritage and culture of the area. A weekend is dedicated to each town.
European Heritage Days are an initiative of the Council of Europe. The event is co-ordinated by the Civic Trust for Wales whose partners organise parallel events in England and Scotland. The initiative was launched in 1991 and last year over 20 million people visited all the participating sites throughout Europe.
In Denbighshire the events are coordinated by Denbigh Civic Society, Llangollen Civic Society and Ruthin and District Civic Association in partnership with Denbighshire County Council – forming the Open Doors Denbighshire group.
