Flying high – a new club for disabled children and young people in Denbighshire Flying High, a Trampoline and Rebound Therapy club in Denbighshire is a joint initiative between Denbighshire Social Services Children with Disabilities Team and Denbighshire Disability Sports Wales. The club is for any younger person between the age of 5 – 19 who experiences a disability.
Trampoline exercise is one of only two sports which allows you to exercise all muscles in your body. The sport requires the performer to make a number of different shapes in the air starting and finishing either on their feet, front, back or seat. Disabled Trampoline schemes have been used within the sport for a number of years and there is now a competition pathway for performers who experience a disability.
Rebound therapy looks to provide therapeutic benefits for people who experience severe and profound physical, sensory and learning disabilities.
