The Heather and Hillforts Scheme is a Heritage Lottery Funded Partnership Project created to conserve and maintain the heritage of the hillforts and heather moorland of the Clwydian Range and Llantysilio Mountains and to increase our understanding of our hillfort and moorland heritage.

The Project Area is a spine of purple rolling hills, rising above broad green valley floors - a landscape of breathtaking beauty, with an exceptional chain of Iron Age hillforts dominating the skyline.
