Denbighshire County Council works alongside the Welsh Assembly Government's business information service to provide help and support for businesses in the county. They can provide a range of support services to help you if you're:
- thinking of starting a business in Denbighshire
- thinking of relocating your business to Denbighshire
- running an existing business in Denbighshire
The aim of the Denbighshire County Council Economic Regeneration Team is to help regenerate the market towns of the county to make them attractive places to live in and visit. A key aspect of this involves supporting the local businesses that form the backbone of the Denbighshire economy.
The council also helps businesses by providing access to a portfolio of over 200 commercial properties that are available to let.
FundingDenbighshire County Council is responsible for administering a number of grant schemes to help businesses invest in themselves. These schemes are funded by the European Union under the Rural Development Plan for Wales and include:
- grants for micro businesses with nine or fewer employees
- business growth initiatives for priority sectors which have the capacity for further growth
- support for the development of sustainable tourism within the Clwyd Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
- support for innovative food production and forestry projects, as well as for new energy solutions
