Building Services

The Building Services Group is based at Caledfryn, Denbigh and is made up of the following four Sections:

Public Building Maintenance involves property maintenance to the Authority's public buildings, such as schools, leisure centres, libraries, cultural and tourism buildings, town halls and civic offices, depots, elderly persons homes, industrial and business units.  The Section also deals with condition surveys and problems and advice on all public building matters.  This service is loosely divided into two area teams and there is also a Buildings Maintenance Helpdesk to handle enquiries.

Small Works involves extensions, alterations, adaptations and minor works to all non-housing County Council owned and used buildings.

Construction Health and Safety involves all construction health and safety issues within denbighshire County Council, including the control of contractors, asbestos management and the CDM Co-ordinator role for all three property groups within Development Services.

Facilities Management for all civic offices, involving cleaning, caretaking, grounds maintenance, building managers and all day to day costs and management.  Also, fire engineers within the Section carry out and manage fire extinguisher servicing for all County Council owned and used buildings.
