Beijing was proud to host the Olympic Games for the first time in China - to mark this auspicious occasion, THE CHINESE STATE CIRCUS a new show encompasses world class acrobatics, martial arts from the famous Shaolin Warriors, gymnasts a show completely unequalled in any production of physical theatre. This action-packed production will be touring Europe and for the first time outside China the sensational 2-hour show combines the martial arts warriors from the Shaolin Temple & The Tai An Acrobatic Troupe from the foot of Mount Tai - one of China’s sacred mountains and home to some of the countries greatest poets, artists, scholars & warriors for over 2000 years. For the first time the world’s greatest acrobats join forces with the undisputed masters of martial arts stretching the limits of human achievement in an extraordinary show combining a dazzling spectacle of flying warriors, unbelievable acrobatics plus potential Olympic Gold & Silver medallists of the future in a unique collaboration of the art form created for the Emperor in the “Forbidden City”. Legendary fabled characters from the world-famous Peking Opera will host the all-new. For the first time outside China the full cultural range of the CHINESE STATE CIRCUS, the finest martial arts exponents of the famous Shaolin Temple, Olympians, Acrobats and specially composed music combine. The whole show is even narrated by one of the most famous characters in Chinese Folklore – the Monkey King. For the first time artists have been selected from China’s leading acrobatic troupe’s, including back-flipping acrobats spiralling through rotating hoops and a dizzying succession of an array of beautiful plate spinning oriental divas. Further spice comes from candelabra balancing knotted contortionists, Chinese pole balancing and a lusciously set and costumed performance of the Lion Dance.
