FIS training: Online Fire Safety and Manual Handing in Early Years (online group session)
This course helps learners gain an awareness of fire safety and precautions, as well as manual handling good practice within Early Years settings.
By the end of the workshop learners will be able to
- Identify Fire Hazards within Early Years settings
- Understand Staff roles in Fire Prevention
- Understand Staff roles and responsibilities in the event of a Fire
- Identify Manual Handling Tasks within the workplace
- Reduce risks when carrying out Manual Handling
The course is delivered by an online group session, followed by the completion of a one to one discussion with the trainer.
When and where do courses take place?
The online group session takes place through Microsoft Teams on Wednesday 29 September 2021, from 6pm to 8pm. Find out more about Microsoft Teams (external website)
The one to one session will be arranged with the trainer.
Who can attend?
This course is for all registered childcare providers in Denbighshire who are registered, or are registering, with the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) (external website).
The setting must also be registered with Dewis.Wales (external website)
How to get involved
There is a charge of £15 per person to attend this course and each person who wants to attend will need to complete the online booking request form.
After receiving a booking request, we will send an invoice to the childcare provider which must be paid promptly.
