Disruptions due to winter weather
Information about disruptions due to winter weather in Denbighshire.
Snow has fallen overnight across the county.
Parking, roads and travel
Our gritting teams have been on duty all day today and all roads remain open at the moment with all rural roads being passable with care, however it would still be advisable to allow additional time for any journey and only travel if essential.
Icy stretches are expected tonight, especially where there has been some melting snow today or where snow is still lying.
The network has already been treated today and the teams will be gritting the network again this evening at 11pm due to a yellow weather warning being issued for ice, which will be effective from 6pm today (Monday) through until 10am Tuesday morning.
The teams will then be on duty again from 7am on Tuesday morning and will remain on duty during the daytime to carry out further continuous actions due to the forecast of snow, which is largely expected to be in the south of the county.
Bins and recycling
Due to the current road conditions, there have been some problems with recycling and refuse collections today in the Denbigh, Llanrhaeadr, Prion and Saron areas. Residents in those areas whose collections have been missed, should leave their waste out by 7am for the next few days, and it will be collected as soon as possible.
Education and schools
Check our emergency school closures page to find out if a school is closed.
