Dismissal

 

Denbighshire County Council strives towards excellence with a competent workforce delivering high standards of service. Our disciplinary policy is designed to help and encourage all employees to achieve and maintain standards of conduct, attendance and job performance in order to deliver the highest standard of service.

The policy and procedures are concerned with behaviour and conduct, issues concerning poor performance, negligence and gross misconduct.

Disciplinary procedure

Where dismissal occurs as a result of gross misconduct, it will normally be undertaken without notice or payment in lieu of notice.
