On Thursday 2 June 2022, Her Majesty the Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee.

In recognition of The Queen’s service more than 1,500 beacons will be lit throughout the United Kingdom, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and UK Overseas Territories, and one in each of the capital cities of Commonwealth countries.

Denbighshire County Council will be lighting an official beacon at the Events Arena in Rhyl, together with additional lighting and flame effects. Buildings along the promenade will also be lit in red, white and blue to mark the occasion.
